TSI announces alliance with Herman Miller

Theatre Solutions (TSI) is pleased to announce a formal alliance with Herman Miller, Inc., a recognized pioneer and global provider of office furniture since 1923. The collaboration will unite Herman Miller's Aeron® and Equa 2® chairs with the newest in fixed training tables from TSI.

"We're setting a new reference point for fixed lecture seating by combining Herman Miller's design and ergonomic expertise in seating with TSI's product vocabulary," said Pete Phillips, the senior product manager at Herman Miller who is responsible for managing the alliance.

With a project repertoire that includes Carnegie Hall and Kodak Theater, the new line of lecture seating from TSI is a departure from the company's traditional auditorium seating. Unlike fixed seating projects that are designed and manufactured primarily for performing arts centers, the majority of lecture seating projects encompass classroom and corporate training venues. Theatre Solutions maintains its established high level of service to include layout and design, project management, and product installation.

Fixed training tables lend security and order to the lecture environment. In this context, the term "fixed seating" refers to the permanent layout of seating within a space, where a steel mechanism suspends the chair uppers while also securing the work surface to the floor. The advantages of such an arrangement are numerous: creates ample work surface with optional power/data access, silently returns unoccupied chairs to a forward-facing rest position, eliminates chair theft, and clears the floor of obstacles for ease in cleaning.
