TSI Announces Installation of Seating at the US Capitol Visitors Center

Theatre Solutions, Inc. (TSI) is pleased to announce that installation of its chairs in the orientation theaters at our nations Capitol Building has begun. Designed by RTKL Associates, the entire three-level 580,000 sq ft complex resides entirely underground on the East Capitol Grounds. The facility includes exhibits, food service, two orientation theaters, an auditorium, gift shops, security, a service tunnel for truck loading and deliveries, mechanical facilities, storage, and additional space for the House and Senate.

TSI provided two different models of Teatro seating for this project. Installed in the orientation theaters is the Teatro C2 model featuring a fully upholstered seat and an upholstered inner back with outer cherry back panel with solid wood edges. The armcaps are solid cherry. Selected options include ADA-compliant frames with hinged swing-out end panels, low-voltage aisle lights, and cherry veneer end panels.

Installed in the main auditorium is the Teatro B2 model featuring inner upholstered seats and backs with outer cherry veneer panels with hardwood edges. The armcaps are solid cherry. Selected options include ADA-compliant frames with hinged swing-out end panels, low-voltage aisle lights, and cherry veneer end panels.

All wood throughout both the orientation theaters and the auditorium was custom-finished to match the architect's sample.
