Theatre Solutions completed the installation of San Francisco’s Herbst Theatre in 2001. Located in the War Memorial Veterans Building across from City Hall, the 928 seat theater is rich in art and history. It is best known for its large beaux-arts murals painted by artist Frank Brangwyn for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition, and also as the site of the United Nations charter signing of 1945. TSI provided 475 Teatro A1 seats for the orchestra level of the auditorium. The inner upholstered seats and backs were completed in red to match the primary color theme in the hall. Solid cherry armrests were stained to match the cherry veneer outer seats and backs. Some custom design elements included large radii at the corners of each seat and back, as well as rounded end panels to encompass the circular aisle lights.
